Editorial meeting

17 November 2010The editorial meeting of the project took place in Maribor, Slovenia on 2nd and 3rd of November 2010. The main topic of the meeting was: "How can expertise be transferred from one city to another city?" The project partners and actors from the partners LSGs, MAs, thematic experts and further interessed actors came together in Maribor to have common discussions in open session on the above mentioned topic.
On the first day we started with the presentation of LAP concept for the revitalisation for shops and craft in Maribor followed by comon discussion, exchange of ideas and presentations about the progress on the LAP by partner cities: Aveiro, Aachen, Gliwice, Galati, Gijon and Rome. These project partners presented how they used the input of FIN-URB-ACT to develop their local action plan. In the evening we had a common discussion on the content of the final report & executive summary. Afterwards a steering group meeting was held on the financial, organisational and procedural issues.
On the second day Mr. Wilko van Kalkeren, Managing Authority from the Province of Gelderland, in the Neetherlands shared with us his interesting and good experiences regarding the partnership between the Managing Authorities and Cities.
In the evening we got an isight view on Maribor's University Incubator by Mr. Jan Verhovnik as well as on Galati's approach on teaching entrepreneurship by prof. Viorel Ariton.
