The Second Transnational Meeting took place in the partner city of Waterford on the 23rd and 24th of February 2017.

On the first day, the Lead Expert shared his evaluation of the city visits followed by presentations of the partners on their good practices and learning needs. During these presentations, the partners also indicated in which good practices from other partners they are interested. A matchmaking session was then held based on the good practices and learning needs of the partners.Waterford Walls Office

The Lead Expert facilitated and led this session by filling in a matchmaking matrix together with the partners. The next activity was a fine tuning working group discussion on the findings of the implementation challenges. The partners were divided into five groups corresponding to the five implementation challenges; each of these groups discussed what they considered important attention points concerning the implementation challenge of the group.

The second part of the first day was dedicated to the City of Waterford. This gave the host the chance to show its good practices to the partnership. Several presentations were given on the city’s strategy and creative places. The day was eventually concluded with a site visit through the target area. The second day was spent on clarifying the road map for Phase 2. The Lead Partner Újbuda presented the work packages and activities planned for phase 2. Additionally, practical issues such as the phase 1 reporting process and the phase 2 budget were discussed.

For the last session of the meeting, the partners were divided into small groups in which they had to draw a flowchart about the phase 2 activities in order to understand and visualize how the transnational and the local activities will strongly interact during the 2 year implementation period of the project. This exercise contributed significantly to the partners’ familiarization with phase 2 and their understanding of the budget.
