Marlieke Kieboom ​is a field worker, researcher and concept designer in the field of education and governance. Her encompassing question is: how can knowledge and research better support innovative practices? She thinks there's a better match to be made between day to day social innovation practices, policy making and academia. To make this happen she works together with her colleagues at Kennisland in setting up and running public sector labs between local governments, well being organisations and universitities for/with youth in the Netherlands. Marlieke also designs collaborative learning environments for lab practitioners, such as 'The Wicked Series' and 'Lab2: a Lab about Labs'. In collaboration with academics she develops new research methodologies in the social sciences, for example Dynamic Evaluation and Feed Forward. Marlieke is author of several publications and blogs, ie. the papers "Lab Matters" (2014) and "Practising Lab Matters in Amsteldorp" (with Chris Sigaloff and Thijs van Exel, 2015). She co-authored the book Labcraft, that came about in a booksprint with 12 lab practitioners. Marlieke holds an MSc in Anthropology (Utrecht University) and an MA in Conflict and Governance (Simon Fraser University, Vancouver).
