As the National Contact Point for Ireland for the URBACT III programme I am the first point of contact in Ireland for potential applicants, I advise mainly local authorities on how to shape and develop their project idea. I organize national and international promotional events, workshops and conferences. URBACT aims to foster sustainable integrated urban development in cities across Europe. URBACT is an instrument of the Cohesion Policy, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. URBACT promotes sustainable urban development through helping cities to work together to develop solutions to major urban challenges, and to share good practices.
