URBACT Infoday in Slovenia

The Slovenian Infoday took place in Maribor on 28 January 2015. Participants were able to learn about URBACT, Network experiences and about URBACT III.

The infoday included a variety of guests from all over Slovenia such as city representatives, managing authorities and others interested in sustainable urban development policies. Participants had the opportunity to learn about URBACT, the programme, URBACT II results, and meet and interact with other participants.

The Infoday started with an introduction by Barbara Radovan the acting Director General of the Directorate for Spatial Planning, Building and Housing and the Mayor of the Municipality of Maribor Dr. Andrej Fištravec. It was then followed by an introduction to the URBACT programme, which gave an overview on the URBACT method and how cities can benefit along with an introduction of URBACT III. Furthermore, representatives from URBACT Networks in Slovenia discussed their exchanges and experiences.
