On September 13th and 14th LC-FACIL partners first met with Bytoms Local Support Group and then discussed the "ergonomics and functionality" of the current Reference framework web-tool.

The meeting set off with the presentation of PDF icon Download LC-FACIL - Bytom Action Plan (213.75 KB) plan on a concept of Bytoms Monitoring System. LC-FACIL partners were very interested in the progress made and actively discussed ideas, general conditions for its implementation and next steps with the members of Bytom's Local support group.

During the meeting all partners had the opportunity to share ideas and status quo of their Local action plans and Local support groups (PDF icon Download LC-FACIL - Rennes Action Plan (357.85 KB), PDF icon Download LC-FACIL - Kirklees Action Plan (442.57 KB), PDF icon Download LC-FACIL - Gothenburg Action Plan (174.41 KB), PDF icon Download LCF_Bytom_Meeting_lap_Vitoria.pdf (558.66 KB) and PDF icon Download LCF_Bytom_Meeting_lap_Leipzig.pdf (590.72 KB)).

Over an entire day partners discussed their results of the first phase of testing the Reference Framework tool and formulated common recommendations for the MS/I group and the further development of the tool. Following topics were at the core of the discussion:

  • Comments related to the different parts of the tool, as the proposal to merge certain parts of the tool to foster the understandability and usabilty of the tool for future users.
  • Process-orientation and guidance were considered as the most important and crucial issues for the implementation and use of the tool - the recommendation was hence to foster and further develop the tool in this direction.
  • Responsibility and maintenance of the tool needed for credibility and working of the tool.
  • Different possible usages and log-ins.
  • General recommendations are given regarding the "ergonomics".

On Monday evening a bike tour through Bytom provided a comprehensive overview over both Bytoms potentials and challenges: areas of new development, traces / buildings of closed or still working coal mines, a working power plant, a station of former small track trains for coal and people's transport, etc.
