Mulhouse
From its unique past, Mulhouse has kept an important heritage: a historical town-center, beautiful mansions, and the most important collection of technical museums in Europe. From the medieval city to the French Manchester of the 19th century, Mulhouse's architecture tells a large part of its history. With its closest neighbours, Freiburg, Basle, Belfort-Montbéliard and Colmar, Mulhouse is in the center of a region of more than two million inhabitants, a real laboratory for experiments on the future of Europe.

The specific challenge we wish to address in this Thematic network and as a Lead Partner, is to go on with the approach of Cities of co-responsibility and to share methods with our European partners, in order to improve this approach and to widely disseminate it. This shall contribute to the social cohesion of European cities and to the well-being of our citizens.
