Jobtown Second Steering Group Meeting was held on September 20th in
Gondomar, Portugal.
Six months after Jobtown’s Kick-Off Meeting, hosted in June 7th in Cesena, old
and new partners, with each one’s Managing Authorities - we are now twelve –
and our Lead Expert, Ian Goldring, met in the Portuguese town, to introduce each other and discuss about what will come in the next project phase.
In the morning, after the welcome by President of the Parish Council of Gondomar (S. Cosme), José António da Silva Macedo, our Lead Expert introduced to the partners the main findings and emerging sub-themes to focus on the implementation phase. After that, representatives from the Municipality of Cesena, and from other towns made their own presentation, contributing to the discussion about the project.
In the afternoon, the meeting continued with two simultaneous working sessions:
one involving partners who presented their local situation to the other, displaying a video, and discussed about the implementation phase; the other one involving Managing Authorities who reasoned about how EU funds can respond to local needs in youth employment.
