In the URBACT team, Thierry Picquart is in charge of all the support functions such as human resources, contracts and public procurement, financial commitments and payments, relationship with the supervisory authorities and Programme Monitoring Committee. He is also in charge of coordination between secretariat poles and activities. Parisian for generations, he is an urban enthusiast especially enjoying the view from the terrace of the URBACT headquarters when the sun sets over Paris and the suburbs. For more than twenty years he led international youth and volunteering organisations, taking part in Unesco, CoE and EU programmes. He is active in his neighbourhood in local associations and popular education activities. He enjoys playing guitar, acting, DIY, cooking and choosing the right wine in his cellar. He is passionate about politics and (heterodox) economics.
