Mireia Sanabria holds a degree in International Politics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She was International Cooperation Programme Manager in the Badalona City Council (BCN, Spain) conducting exchange projects on urban development with other European, Mediterranean and Latin American cities. Among them, the URB-AL II Network 14 EU Program (2006-2008) on urban public space and social cohesion. She had previously spent 3 years developing research activities and consulting projects for local and regional administrations at the Development Programme of CIDOB, Barcelona Centre for International Affairs. As Lead Expert of the URBACT II 4D Cities project on Health Innovation, she has consolidated her skills in network building and transnational exchange of cities as well as in integrated and sustainable urban development. Project publications can be found in the 4D Cities site, namely the collection of 4 output reports and the project final report 'Patient-Centred Health Innovation with and Economic Growth'. She is URBACT III RetaiLink network Lead Expert, a partnership of ten medium-sized European cities working on innovative and multi-stakholder strategies to revitalise local retail and economy.
