I am an Economic Development, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Specialist with over 20 years of experience in sustainable urban development. Over my working life, I have been responsible for facilitating and leading numerous EU transnational projects, both as a partner and a lead partner. Through these various projects, I have also developed considerable experience of designing and delivering transnational exchange and learning activities. Much of this work has lent on my previous academic and practical Economic Development, Design and Marketing experience/studies. I am presently studying for a PGC/MBA in Innovation, Enterprise and the Circular Economy. I was a project partner in USE-ACT, an URBACT II project, Lead Expert on the GEN-Y CITY URBACT III Project and am currently the Lead Expert for the BLUACT Transfer Network (https://www.bluact.eu/). I possess considerable experience of developing and delivering a range of innovation and business support; workforce development; employability, community cohesion; social inclusion; property and infrastructure; and low carbon initiatives. Through the above activities, I have developed considerable experience and expertise of designing and delivering integrated/participatory urban policies for a range of organisations, including local authorities. Since setting up in business in 2017 (https://www.theservicedesign.co.uk/) I have worked on a range of economic development assignments, from developing business cases for University technology incubators, reviewing a Saudi based bio-technology incubator, developing ERDF proposals and an Industrial Strategy for a UK development agency.
