Béla is the founder and managing director of MEGAKOM Development Consultancy, Hungary, focusing on regional and urban development and supporting European programmes and projects. He was graduated in 1992 at the Faculty of International Relations of the Budapest University of Economics as an economist (MsC). During his career, Béla has been working with various underdeveloped regions and settlements to devise strategies and projects to tackle serious labour market problems. He also has extensive experience in evaluation: in the past 10 years he was heavily involved in the ex-ante and interim evaluation of Community funded interventions, including those focusing on labour market development and the promotion of equal opportunities. Béla has been working with various URBACT partnerships (RomaNet, OpAct), facilitating a multitude of workshops, using participative methods to identify good practices. He was the national trainer in Hungary for URBACT, and at the 2013 URBACT Summer University he worked as a Lab Manager and trainer working with a group of 30 people from across Europe to share knowledge, good practices using the URBACT method. He has ample experience in working with diverse transnational groups using participatory methods; he also has strong presentation skills and experience in extracting learning points, lessons from local practices, cases.
