Arwen has worked on local education policy for Ghent since 2010. She’s involved in the strategic planning of the department and was the project lead on a variety of topics in the field of local education policy, amongst others as Chair of the Regional Board for Dual Education Ghent. Since 2013, the main focus is on reshaping the strategic framework and the development and implementation of the Ghent plan on Early School Leaving. She was part of the team to reorganise the department of education and to found the Centre for Education Ghent, dedicated to integrated local education policy.
