URBACT study explores the new instruments of the Cohesion Policy for sustainable integrated urban development such as ITI and CLLD

Achieving a common understanding of these instruments, and the policy approaches on which they were built, was the objective of the study “Implementing new concepts and tools for sustainable urban development 2014-2020”, completed in 2015. This study was based on a series of 3 working seminars involving representatives of cities, Managing Authorities and National Authorities. These seminars led to the production of 3 different thematic reports, plus a synthesis including recommendations:

• The integrated approach to sustainable urban development, as implemented through Article 7 of the new ERDF regulation;
• The participatory approach, specifically through the deployment of the Community Local Led Development (CLLD) approach in urban areas;
• Urban-rural linkage
• Synthesis
