From April 3- 5, the nine cities that make up the URBACT Markets project will be taking part in a study visit to partner Wroclaw in Poland.

Day one will see representatives discussing key isssues, especially preparations for the International Day of Markets and the milesestones to be completed over the next few months. Part of these visits is being able to share experiences, and with the project at the crucial point of generating Local Action Plans (LAP), city representatives will be able to explain how their projects are shaping up at the local level. The merting will also help cities focus their attention on potential funding for their LAPs. Some of the issues to be dealt with are more administrative like the mid term questionnaires but representatives will also get the chance to see how the host city's markets function. There'll be a visit to various markets like the Hala Targowa (old market hall) and others to regeneration areas like the Ptasia open market.
