URBACT Markets members will discuss proposals for creating an International Market's Day in 2014.

Toulouse will host the second transnational URBACT Markets meeting next November 7-8. Members have a full activity programme awaiting them, with important presentations on the project's three thematic guidelines (urban development, sustainability, and economic development and entrepreneurship) by experts in their respective areas and updates on each cities' local action plan strategies.

Part of the schedule has been set aside for visiting Toulouse's markets to share knowledge and best practice. Delegates will visit the city's wholesale market, La Faourette open market and the Victor Hugo market, the largest covered market in Toulouse. Importantly, URBACT Markets members will discuss proposals for creating an International Market's Day in 2014 in order to promote markets across Europe.
