Thematic study meetings: looking for new partners

A first phase of meetings took place between Norway, Sweden and Latvia. It's just completed the second phase of meetings that involved England, Spain and Belgium. A final phase will involve visits to potential partners from Austria, Slovak Republic and Poland.

The aim of these meetings is to compare experiences and background on the basis of a detailed study on the topics of the project.

 The main points of discussion are:

• a description of existing planning tools and strategies That guides the urban growth containment and promote 'interventions on the inner city
• a description of the most important urban transformation initiatives realized with the public involvement, in regard to the policies which can be considered specifically oriented to stop or to strongly reduce land consumption
