Project Kick-Off Conference - TOGETHER for Territories of Co-responsibility

Building social cohesion to improve the well-being of all with the citizens and the communities. This is the objective of the URBACT TOGETHER for territories of co-responsability project. Discover this project and participate in the conference launching the project implementation phase which will take place in Strasbourg from 25 to 27 October 2010 at the Council of Europe Building.

To address the current economic crisis, where situations of social exclusion are becoming more common, the solutions cannot dispense with the potential of citizens in creating activities, development of social bonds, mutual efforts to find innovative solutions based on local needs.

URBACT project TOGETHER aims to develop exchanges of experience on the principle of co-responsibility promoting structures of cooperation between public authorities, citizens and private stakeholders as a means of generating effective social cohesion and developing indicators of well-being.

The kick-off conference of the project will proceed in two steps:

  • A methodological training session conducted by the Council of Europe, for TOGETHER partners but also open to all stakeholders and actors involved in the process of "co-responsibility". The training entitled "Building societal progress to improve the well-being of all with the citizens and the communities" will take place on 25 and 26 October 2010 in the AGORA building of the Council of Europe.
  • A meeting dedicated to the TOGETHER partners on the organization of the network within the URBACT framework will take place on 27 October 2010 in the presence Jean-Loup DRUBIGNY, Head of the URBACT Secretariat.
