Prevent interests the European Commission

29 June 2015Invited by the European Commission, Prevent project was presented during a meeting of the thematic working group on school policies (Brussels, 29-30 April 2014).
During a first meeting of takeholders in Brussels, the European Commission decided to invite the Prevent project to present at another one. Pat Kussé, Prevent Local coordinator in Antwerp, did it during the meeting of the thematic working group on school policies ( 29-30 April 2014).
This group is composed of the representatives of all member states, candidate countries and EFTA members states, as well as social partners. It is the group that supports the Commission’s work on the education agenda and one of its focus topics will be preventing early school leaving, and in particular cooperation with local stakeholders and this includes families/parents. They were quite interested in the way of presenting Good Practices. Pat Kussé did it more in detail about “The Schoolbridge” . They were also asking about the Local Action Plan Process.
