Topics

Under the banner of #WalkAndRollCities, URBACT Action Planning Networks RiConnectSpace4People and Thriving Streets are exploring links between mobility and public space to promote more livable and sustainable urban areas.

From metropolitan areas down to neighbourhood and street level, the cooperation covers many interlinked topics such as the link between public transport-led metropolitan systems and local active transport solutions; integration of infrastructures and its implications in planning and ecology, intelligent parking solutions; the change in the mobility mindset of people.

These topics are debated and further developed during three webinars, specified for different aspects of urban sustainability and livability. The first webinar was organised on 29 November 2021, concentrating on mobility and public space practices towards sustainability and livability (find out here).

The second webinar concentrates on planning and implementing new mobility and public space visions. It will take place online on 5 April 2022, 10.00 - 15.40 CET.
