URBACT study explores the new instruments of the Cohesion Policy for sustainable integrated urban development such as ITI and CLLD
Edited on
30 December 2015URBACT III will work with cities that will have to use a series of new instruments proposed in the Cohesion Policy for sustainable and integrated urban development.
Achieving a common understanding of these instruments, and the policy approaches on which they were built, was the objective of the study “Implementing new concepts and tools for sustainable urban development 2014-2020”, completed in 2015. This study was based on a series of 3 working seminars involving representatives of cities, Managing Authorities and National Authorities. These seminars led to the production of 3 different thematic reports, plus a synthesis including recommendations:
- The integrated approach to sustainable urban development, as implemented through Article 7 of the new ERDF regulation;
- The participatory approach, specifically through the deployment of the Community Local Led Development (CLLD) approach in urban areas;
- Urban-rural linkage
- Synthesis
