URBACT Monitoring Committee: Capitalisation presentation & Decision on three Working Groups

The URBACT Monitoring Committee meeting took place under the chairmanship of Mercedes Caballero Fernandez, Thursday, April 29 in Madrid, capital of the Spanish Presidency of the European Union.

The opportunity for the 29 representatives of the Member States of the Programme, responsible for URBACT's strategic orientation and for making decisions that ensure the programme's efficacy and quality, to make a particular point on the overall URBACT capitalisation process: methods and tools in place, current project results and thematic knowledge. All three Pole Managers, respectively in charge of leading an URBACT Thematic Pole, was able to explain in detail the content of his area of expertise.
Every URBACT project is attached to one of the poles, depending on its key topic. At the heart of the integrated approach, the Thematic Poles are pillars in the process of maximising and sharing project outputs, and organising the capitalisation process for the Programme. Furthemore, the progress report of the study on the crisis, being conducted by URBACT, has also been introduced.

Other main point on the agenda, the Working Groups Ursen, Shake and Common Sense have not been selected for the implementation phase of the project. The URBACT process of selection proves once again, the level of requirement of the programme and its objectives of excellence.
