Inspiration day ‘Involved parents, strong schools’

The department of general education policy of the city of Antwerp and the ULSG organizes three times a year an inspiration day. The topic of the inspiration day on March 13th 2014 was ‘parental involvement’ and the ULSG PREVENT of Antwerp was an important partner to realize this day.
At the same time Antwerp hosted the TM Prevent. The European Prevent collegues took part in the inspiration day. They listened to lectures of Prof. Hilde Colpin (The importance to improve the cooperation between school and parents) and Ludo Heylen (The teacher is very important). They participated also in two workshops: ‘debate about homework’ and ‘an introduction to the 7 dimensions of parental involvement’.
