First Transnational Thematic Workshop in Avilés

The first Transnational Thematic Workshop and the second Steering Group Meeting will be held in Avilés (Spain) - the spanish Jobtown partner Municipality, on June 18th, 19th and 20th.

After an initial greeting by Pila Varela, Mayor of Avilés, and Matteo Marchi, Councillor of Cesena, team activities will be introduced by Ian Goldring, Lead Expert of the project.

During the three days, partners will discuss and support each other in the definition of effective models of cooperation at local level with the aim of enhancing youth employment.

Throughout the meeting, the Municipality of Avilés will share, with all the participants, its experiences of best practices, as its administration is notable for putting significant emphasis on working through approaches based on cooperation and consultation.

Ms Lucy Pyne, OECD-LEED programme representative, will take part as external expert in the 2 days of the meeting, that will include clustered workshop sessions and practical exercises too.

During the last day, the second Steering Group Meeting will be held with the participation of local coordinators and on that occasion, it will be presented the online Mutual Help Desk.
