Organised by the French Ministries for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition and for the Territory Cohesion, the official closure of the citizen consultation "Cities and Territories of Tomorrow" will take place in Paris, 13 December, and it will be followed by the award ceremony of the ÉcoQuartier 2018 Label.

Cities and territories will face a profound upheavals, in the years to come: from the digital evolution, to an ageing population or even the climate change. To meet those challenges we need to think collectively, in this context, the French Ministries for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition and for the Territory Cohesion launched an on-line public consultation.

This measure opened up space for the citizens to build a joint vision for the "Cities and Territories of Tomorrow". The on-line community was invited to share their ideas, expectations and solutions on five specific topics: mobility, participation, public health, local economy and their neighbourhood.

The public consultation "Cities and Territories of Tomorrow" has been essential to target the expectations from the French citizens and to promote their actions. Moreover, it was fundamental to highlight their needs and priorities, above all in terms of sustainable urban development. The official clousure of this citizen consultation will present the "Citizen Booklets", publications and comic books that showcase the results and main conclusions that were drawn, but also the foreseen expected urban future.

This booklets will become a reference to public institutions, municipalities and, more broadly, all urban actors. The aim is to be a tool to be used towards the development of national and local policies, which will fit the inhabitant's expectations. This will be an opportunity to question and debate the evolution of the decision-making process, not to mention an added-value to reflect upon the ÉcoQuartier process of construction. In addition, there will be a special signing session with the involved illustrators and graphic designers.
