Altea is a charming and sustainable town. Its old town and its viewpoint are enormously known for their charm. Many of its streets are paved and walking through them you can see a large number of restaurants and hotels. The Plaza de la Iglesia is the heart of Altea, an authentic center of leisure and culture, especially in summer.

The promenade has no waste. It crosses beautiful beaches of boulders, much quieter than sand and without difficulty most, to go with children, as romantic destinations, where you can practice all kinds of water sports such as swimming, sailing, fishing, snorkeling ... And much more.

If you feel like hiking or any other sport, Altea also has a wide range of options, since nature gives to these charming places mountains such as the Sierra de Bernia or Sierra Helada Natural Park.

Finally, Altea is a very cultural city, and it was awarded by the title of “Valencian Capital of Culture 2019”. This award confirms the firm commitment of Altea for culture as an instrument of social cohesion and economic development, underlining such cultural aspects like music, festivities and other local traditions.
