Webinar: Approaching cultural diversity in a digital work environment
Edited on
03 September 2020The International Welcome Centre North in Groningen organizes all sorts of webinars for international students and expats living in the city of Groningen. In these times of the corona-crisis, working together via an online environment is even more important. But how should you organize this in an international team?
On Thursday 10 September, the IWCN in collaboration with the Language Center of the University of Groningen, will be organizing a HR Expert Webinar about approaching cultural diversity in a digital work environment.
Despite that we are all experts on working digitally now, working in a digital environment can already cause some communication problems for people who share a language and culture. If cultural differences are added to the mix, this can cause some additional communication issues. When the home and work culture of one colleague is very different from those of another colleague/manager/customer/employer, it's good to be aware of it. And to learn how to work with it!
Based on a number of practical examples, the Language Center will give great insights on the crossroads of working digitally and cultural differences.
