Virtual fair VAU makes it easier to discover Võru city

Võru is one of the eight cities participating in the URBACT brand-building project called „Find Your Greatness”. The aim of the project activities is to enhance local life and to learn how to better highlight Võru city’s existing strengths in marketing.

According to the project team, the idea of the Võru virtual fair is based on the ideas gathered from the community engagement meetings and interviews. There was a need to create an opportunity to better highlight the strengths of the Võru city’s living environment and to help market local enterprises and organizations. The goal is to jointly enhance the image of Võru city as an attractive place to live for young people and families with children.

The information shown on the page has been gathered from different well-known Estonian portals, such as Visit Estonia, Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund, kv.ee (real estate), and others. The first campaign of the virtual fair invited visitors to come to enjoy summer in Võru to experience the everyday delights of the city. Võru captures both - the charm of idyllic country life and the conveniences of a city. The virtual fair environment is constantly changing - at the end of summer the focus will be on education and extracurricular activities.

The project is supported by the URBACT program with the aim to support sustainable integrated development of cities among European cities and urban areas.
