Sébastien Garnier worked for ten years in the social housing sector at national and European level. First as advisor in the Financial and Public Affairs departments of Aedes - the Dutch federation of social housing providers. Later he went on to manage its European affairs office in Brussels. He chaired the Social Affairs working committee of Housing Europe and was actively involved in the Housing Partnership of the EU Urban Agenda and the organization of the 1st International Social Housing Festival. He recently chaired the UN PRI Impact Investment Market Map group for Affordable Housing and took part in the 2017 Impact Investing Programme at the University of Oxford. Sébastien created AxHA Consultants, which provides advice to cities, housing providers, federations and investors in the field of affordable, adequate and accessible housing policies and finance. AxHA helped promote a large Social Bond for Affordable Housing for a major Dutch bank. Sébastien contributes to Developing Social Housing Projects course for international students at the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies in Rotterdam (NL). Currently, he also works on several highly innovative EU projects as Innovation and Project Manager for Housing Europe.
