Fayçal works in the URBACT Secretariat since 2016 as Audit and Programming Officer. His day-to-day activities consist in monitoring the URBACT budget and completing all the procedures needed to run the Programme as smooth as possible. After a Master degree in Economics and Management of European Affairs, Fayçal has worked in different INTERREG Secretariat (North-West Europe, 2 Seas) as Programme Assistant but also as Programme Officer at the Caisse des Dépôts, Certifying Authority of French European Programmes. Over the last couple of years, Fayçal gained experience in the financial aspects of ETC Programmes and has dealt with the closure of the 2007-2013 Programmation period. In the URBACT Secretariat, Fayçal dedicated his first months on the 2007-2013 Programme closure, clarifying the financial data to ease the closure process in the European Commission. Setting up the audit strategy and building sound procedures, Fayçal's tasks will be shaped upon the good economic health of the URBACT Programme.
