USE-IT Roadshow is a huge success
Edited on
23 June 2022Delighted to report that the USE-IT Roadshow was a big success. Starting on Friday 17th to Monday 20th June - we had four full days of great ideas, networking, learning and physically being in our partner cities (not to be underestimated). It's fair to say that the event went very well indeed.
Back in the depths of the pandemic when we started this project, it seemed almost unthinkable that we would be visiting each other in person. But at last, this has happened – and we’ve certainly made up for lost time.
Friday started off with a visit to Rotterdam in the Netherlands. From there we travelled to Poznan in Poland – by air and some of us by rail. Sunday and Monday were spent in Poznan and we travelled back to our respective cities on Tuesday.
It really was an action-packed visit, with a lot of visits to organisations of all types and a lot of excellent ideas to take on board. We’re just going through everything now (there’s certainly a lot to digest); thinking about the conversations we had and what we can bring back to Birmingham.
Next week, we will be focusing on each of the two cities we visited, what we discussed and the take away points for Birmingham. These will be vital for the Birmingham Springboard Plan and the Investment Plans for both Rotterdam and Poznan.
It’s great that our partner cities are really looking forward to visiting Birmingham in September too! We’ve got a fair amount of planning to do, to make sure we make our guests as welcome as they made us.
