URBACT Results Brochure Now Available

20 URBACT projects have completed their programme of exchange and learning activities in 2011. The project partners have been working relentlessly for three years looking for joint, effective and sustainable solutions to major urban challenges. You will find in this new URBACT Project Results: First Edition the results, recommendations and outputs of these projects.

This document represents a milestone in the life of URBACT. You will find the results and main conclusions of nineteen Thematic Networks and the Working Group LC-FACIL. These projects have brought to light solutions that have proven effective and providing valuable support for policy makers and practitioners involved in tackling the major urban challenges: active inclusion, sustainable development, disadvantaged neighborhoods, opening up innovation etc. These results are presented by seven transverse articles, drawing common conclusions from the twenty projects and linking them to the European context and current urban challenges.

URBACT is a living programme. It has been capable of taking into account the consequences of the economic and financial crisis and of incorporating the Europe 2020 Strategy into its objectives. This document makes a significant contribution to the European Cohesion Policy and provides concrete answers to urban concerns.
