General description of the position
The retained candidate shall:
- Report to the Head of Unit Projects and Programming
- Work with other team members to ensure successful project management and monitoring
- Work with other team members to review the Programme outputs indicators and set up suitable monitoring systems for reporting on these
- Work with other team members to review budgets and monitor progress on activity of networking projects
Basic requirements
- A degree in a relevant field
- Some experience, in particular in the following fields is desirable:
- in EU-funded projects or programmes, preferably on Structural Funds and/or crossborder, transnational or interregional cooperation
- in a local / regional public authority or any organisation involved in urban issues
- Excellent organisation, communication, diplomacy and interpersonal skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Fluency in English, and proficiency in at least one of the other EU languages; French appreciated
- Computer literacy
- Capacity to work in an international environment;
- Knowledge of European Affairs and the Structural Funds preferably through practical experience
- Knowledge of cooperation programmes, preferably through work experience
- Willing to travel in Europe

- Sense of initiative; ability to anticipate, propose and implement solutions
- Open-mindedness; independence, but good team working abilities
