URBACT Ireland Training Course: Towards Sustainable Urban Development

Local Authority Officials, elected members, Urban and Regional Policy Makers, third sector NGO's and academic scholars are invited to attend URBACT IRELAND Training Course: Towards Sustainable Urban Development

The purpose of this event will be to

(a) showcase and recognise Ireland's successful URBACT networks

(b) provide local authorities with a cutting edge training course based upon the Reference Framework for Sustainable Cities (RFSC) tool pioneered by the French Ministry of Territorial Cohesion and CEMR

(c) to encourage Irish cities to bid for inclusion in URBACT III's current transfer network call

10.25-10.45         Introduction to URBACT III Transfer Network Call Prof. Mark Boyle, National Contact Point URBACT

10.45-12.45        RFSC Training I, Pedro Bizarro, Urban Planner, Project Officer - Reference Framework for Sustainable Cities, Council of European Municipalities and Regions, France introduced by Caroline Creamer URBACT Ireland NCP

12.45-13.45        Lunch
