URBACT III RetaiLink Project Kick Off Meeting
RetaiLink takes its first steps in Igualada. During two days, the six partners of the RetaiLink Project Development Phase got to know each other through brief presentations, discovered the goals of the URBACT programme, and started working together sharing experiences and challenges about fostering the retail sector in medium-sized cities.
The Kick off event of the RetaiLink project was held the 14th-15th october in Igualada (Spain), the lead partner city. It gathered representants from Bistrita (Romania), Sibenik (Croatia), Basingstoke (United Kingdom), Hengelo (Netherlands) and Fermo (Italy), as well as the Lead Expert of the project, Mireia Sanabria, and Clementine Gravier from the URBACT Secretariat.
The event included many activities as a presentation about the Urbact III Programme, showrooms to introduce each of the project partners or a speech about the State of the Art of the retail sector by the lead partner Project Coordinator and the Lead Expert.
Participants also attended a working session about the RetaiLink project Scope of Work, another about working with local partners and a training session on administration topics and procedures for submitting the application for the Implementation Phase. They could also enjoy a joint walking guided tour to discover Igualada's retail area, and had the chance to meet the promoters of a pop-up stores festival.
