URBACT is set to take part in a workshop and ‘international pavilion’ at France’s biggest conference on urban renewal, “Les Jéru 2017”, on 5-6 July in Paris.
Organised by ANRU, the French National Agency for Urban Renewal, the “exchange days” are expected to attract 1200 people, including elected officials, urban renewal professionals, start-ups and associations.
Participants will discover how URBACT helps Europe’s cities work together and develop integrated solutions to common urban challenges, by networking, learning from one another’s experiences, drawing lessons and identifying good practices to improve urban policies.
An URBACT-organised workshop on the morning of 6 July entitled “Networks of cities in Europe” will be a chance to answer questions such as: What are the advantages of networking at European level? How can the results of this work be shared with other departments in the municipality? What are the effective tools for sharing solutions with European partners?
Meanwhile, an ‘International Pavilion’ will host discussions on:
- Urban renewal beyond borders
- Cross-border spaces
- European cities
- Networks of actors
- URBACT III Programme
