UN-HABITAT unveils State of the World's Cities report 2008/2009

"Mrs. Anna Tibaijuka, Executive Director of UN-HABITAT unveiled during a news conference in London on October 23rd, the 4th State of the World's Cities, a flagship report published every two years by the UN agency. This report is usually published before the UN World Urban Forum, which Fourth session will be held in Nanjing in China from 03-06 November 2008.

Untitled 'Harmonious cities', the report present a large amount of statistics and case studies on the urban phenomenon in the world. For UN-HABITAT 'the 21st century will be the cities century' and this world's urbanisation deeply changes the economical, socially, ecological balance of the world. Read more:
