URBACT Local Groups are key in the construction of partner cities’ Educational Innovation Networks (EIN). They represent the different stakeholders that will take part in the future Educational Innovation Networks and they are contributing to lay its foundations.

What do the ULG members think about the EIN and its future? Todays it's Laure Talneau-Mary turn to tell us about it.

- What's your name and what do you do?

I am Laure Talneau-Mary, Head of Unit for Educational Project which is included in Department of Education in City of Nantes.

- What is your role within the network?

I am particularly in charge of the sustainable process of the EIN good practice adapted to the Nantes context.

- What do you think the network can contribute in your city?

We clearly knew from the beginning that the Viladecans could not be transferred as a whole and for the all city of Nantes. So we decided to choose 2 territories (North and South) to experiment the idea with the purpose of enlarging it after through our major document which is the PedT (Projet Educatif de Terriroire).

The actions we developed during the On Board journey will clearly be a kind of “compost” to enrich the collaboration between various stakeholders, thinking “out of the boxes “ for the benefit of children.

- What would you like the EIN to be in 3 years?

I would like to see the 11 districts of Nantes inside the 4 Educational Territories, implementing the EIN in a very large perspective but at least for the disadvantaged neighbourhoods.
