B.1. Understanding of integrated and sustainable urban development:

I studied and researched within the Laboratory of Ecological Design of Settlements (LAPEI) at the University of Florence under the direction of Alberto Magnaghi and Giancarlo Paba, where I developed a "territorialist" approach to sustainable development with a strong holistic perspective. I matured a multidisciplinary attitude to the urban matter complemented by practical experience as an activist, artist and practitioner.

B.2. Understanding of exchange and learning processes at transnational level:

I have always participated to transnational exchange and learning processes, since the participation to the INURA Network at the end of the 1990s until the current involvement with the Transnational Dialogues residence program. I have been designing communication for EU funded cooperation programmes like the CIUDAD "RKM- Save Urban Heritage". I was listed as an expert for URBACT in the previous period and I have been facilitating URBACT National Training Scheme in Italy.

B.3. Proficiency in English:

I use English as my main working language. I daily curate web content and I have experience in editing books, publications and reports in English. Among my contributions: - Cinematic Urbanism entry, in Encyclopaedia of Urban Studies, Sage Publications, 2009. - editing "Everyday Life in the Segmented City" volume 11 of Research in Urban Sociology, 2011 -editing supervisor of the collective book of INURA , "The contested Metropolis", Birkhauser, 2004

Such competence is completed with an deep understanding of innovative ICT tools and social media as essential means to develop collaboration and creative capacity.
