Starting situation
Trekantområdet is challenged by internationalisation, globalisation and climate changes. Trekantområdet is facing an important change in the strategic approach to the regon. The main objective is to develop a smart region based on local resources.
Main challenges
One of the main challenges faced by Trekantområdet is the need to promote the interaction between the municipalities, local partners and communities, within an improved governance model for projects in the Region. This is particularly important in an era of economic crisis and financial shortcuts where the Region must cooperate with the society in the co-production of public services and innovative solutions to urban problems. Our main challenges can be boiled down to :
- Social cohesion
- Transformation to smart city
- Unemployment – especially for people with no or poor educational background
