15 February 2022Small scale action in Messina: planting cypress, oak and myrtle trees
The students of the Cuppari Agricultural Institute have planted about 40 cypress, oak and myrtle trees in the San Jachiddu Park as a small-scale action for Messina. The trees were donated by the Messina Forestry Company. The Botanical Garden "Pietro Castelli" Institute of the University of Messina offered its advice indicating which trees to plant, where and in what period. During the event, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Messina, Carlotta Previti, gave each student a certificate of adoption of the tree. At the end of the event, a brunch was offered by the students of the "Antonello da Messina" Hotel Institute.
Watch their video with fascinating sicilian landscapes, enthusiastic students - and very cute goats :)
