Time to harvest the fruits of our work: the Integrated Action Plans are ready!
Edited on
11 August 2022All activities carried out in the frame of SIBDev project were meant to back-up the final result: the cities' Integrated Action Plans. They have been prepared in SIBdev project as well, let's discover them!
When we talk about achievements of an URBACT network, we think about the small scale actions, the videos, the transnational meetings and many more; still it is important to keep in mind that the integrated action plans are the ultimate goals of starting the network at all. Thus the most important fruit of working together with members of the Urban Local Group (ULG) is the action plan itself, all the rest of the activities can be regarded as means to achieve the goal.
Duruing the 2-years' time of Phase 2 the cities participating in SIBdev network have worked together with their ULGs to create plans in coproduction with local stakeholders to identify a concrete and coherent set of actions to address a local policy challenge. In this case it was the discovery of Social Impact Bonds (SIBs) as novel financial instruments for social challenges in the cities. The network's concrete objective was not to set-up SIBs by the end of the project lifetime, but to give extensive knowledge to participating cities in how this type of contracting should be used and set-up a plan in the IAP for the city so as to get closer of this type of contracting. Based on cities' previous knowledge on SIBs, some cities' Action Plans already contain SIBs as future actions, others only have other type of financial instruments based on outcome-based contracting.
Without further teaser, we invite you to discover all 8 IAPs - in order to do so, please visit our Library, where you can find all documents.
