Statement

We - the participants of the Global Goals for Cities network - listened to the horrendous situation and barbarous acts taking place in Ukraine. 

As global citizens who believe in Peace for everyone, we stand in full solidarity with people in - and those fleeing from - the war in Ukraine, as well as all other people living in and escaping wars around the world.

We heard about the most urgent needs in Ukrainian cities, which leaders everywhere can support to fill.
These include:

- humanitarian aid (food, water, clothes, medicines).

- energy generators, as many cities are now without essential services.

- psychological support for war refugees.

We will make sure that those needs are heard and that the atrocities unfolding in Ukraine will never be forgotten. 
We stand for a world of peace and without violence - for everyone, everywhere - in the spirit of the 2030 Agenda for Transforming our World.
