21 June 2019The registration for the Smart Cities Stakeholder Platform Annual Conference is now open! Join the smart community in Budapest 5-6 June at the 5-star Hotel Boscolo Hotel, for a unique conference that brings together technology developers, city representatives, high-level financial managers and EU-level policy makers from across the European Union. While reviewing achievements since the creation of Platform two years ago, conference delegates will look at the next steps for mass application of promising ICT innovations in sectors such as urban mobility, housing and power distribution.
The Smart Cities Stakeholder Platform is essentially about promoting innovation. It aims to accelerate the development and market deployment of energy efficiency and low-carbon technology applications in the urban environment. The Platform supports the EU towards its goal of an 80% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and the Europe’s primary energy technology policy, the SET-Plan.
The event will run two days. The first day, June 5, will follow a workshop format and allows participants to get acquainted with and vote for the best technological innovations identified by platform members. This informal half-day session lays the groundwork for the next day’s plenary, which will include the participation of high-level conference delegates.
This prestigious event takes place in the historic centre of Budapest in the modern conference centre of the 5-star Hotel Boscolo. Formerly known as the New York Palace, this century-old building hosts one of the most beautiful cafés in Europe – something definitely not to miss!
The conference presents for the first time results of the Smart Cities and Communities European Innovation Partnership. It gathers top experts and representatives of the most innovative Smart City solutions in Europe.
