SMART CITIES Kick-off meeting at Coimbra (Portugal)

25 June 2012The kick-off meeting took place on the 18th and 19th of June at the Casa da Escrita (Coimbra PT).
The five city partners met and work together for the first time. Peter [Ramsden] led us through the paths of social Innovation and co-production, talking with us about ‘how cities are using social innovation to be smart’.
Creative Disruption and Social Innovation, crowdsourcing, traditional service planning were among the main topics addressed.
It were almost two days of intense and very creative work among the 21 participants.
Rafaelle [Barbato] from Urbact Secretariat has presented the ‘URBACT Method’ and shared with us useful thoughts and opinions about Urbact projects and about the work we have to do until October.
