SILENCE is an integrated research project, co- funded by the Sixth Framework Programme of the European Commission. The SILENCE project provides relevant and world leading methodologies and technologies for the efficient control of noise caused by urban road and rail transport.

"The final SILENCE event is scheduled for 28-29 May 2008 in Bergisch Gladbach (Germany).

This event will be a multi- stakeholder training event aiming to inform a range of stakeholders of the potential of the different noise abatement measures that have been studied and tested in the project.
