Participation in the URBACT network Global goals for cities offers the possibility to develop a local monitor and improve the local practice of global goals in Schiedam. The global goals improve the cooperation between city and municipality. They offer clear goals and they are concrete and understandable for a broader audience. The global goals provide a basis for a strategy aimed at a sustainable and inclusive development of the city. Monitoring of the global goals also gives an insight into the societal impact of what the municipality is doing.
