In this workshop we:
-share examples of advocacy through storytelling
-show different structures of storytelling
-describe the elements of effective storytelling and provide a general frameword
Once upon a time in a not so far away land somewhere in Europe, Princess Liat went for a walk through town every day.
And every day her heart hurt a little bit more from seeing all those men, women and children without a home.
One day she decided to do something. She started counting all the homeless people she knew about.
After a week she went to her father, King Stevie and told him about the 353 people in their town alone that didn’t have a home.
Shouldn’t there be a counting in all towns of the country of all the different homeless people?
That way the King would know who needed his help and what kind of help?
King Stevie thanked and dismissed her, hardly looking up from his Miro budget sticky notes. Princess Liat knew she had failed...
But she wasn’t going to let it go! She contacted the ROOF superheroes team. The ROOF team came to the rescue.
First they taught her all about convincing Kings with stories. Then they taught her how the King could convince fellow Kings from other European countries.
The ROOF plan came together.
And many many years later as Princess Liat and her cane hobbled through her town. She smiled. Everybody was living happily ever after…
