Reims

The City of Reims is situated in Northern France, 144 km east-northeast of Paris. With a population of 187,000 inhabitants Reims is the biggest and most important urban centre of the region of Champagne-Ardennes. Based on its renowned cathedral and the Champagne the city is also an important tourist destination. The main economic sector of Reims is the service industry followed by construction. Industry plays a minor role and is concentrated in a few big companies. In Reims a multitude of organisations are available to assist local entrepreneurs wishing to start-up a new business. Some of these organisations are grouped together to form a network, the CREA-Reims.
CREA-Reims has operated for the last 3 years and has increased the number of projects. However, these structures have a lack of visibility and are neither sufficiently well-known nor used by entrepreneurs. Facing this challenge, the activities in Reims mainly adress communication activities. Coordinated by the City of Reims, the local support group will elaborate communication strategies to improve the visibility by a communication campaign and will prepare a method to measure and monitor the increased visibility.
