With the pandemic influencing and modifying our daily lives, in personal and work contexts, it became necessary adapting ourselves, in order to be as efficient as possible. Thus, we had to use, more frequently, online tools and methodologies.

Rede DLBC Lisboa co-promotes and participates in the development of appropriate tools in this context.

As such, on November 25th, within the scope of Com.Unity.Lab, which aims to improve the growing role of local development and the active participation of populations, the European cities involved this project (Aalborg, Bari, The Hague, Lille, Lublin, Ostrava and Sofia) led by Lisbon, through the URBACT good practice toolbox, took part at the online presentation of the Local Development Manual in Game format, designed by Associação Locals Approach during the Fórum Urbano project.

For about three hours, the partners, divided into four groups of seven representatives and a moderator, had the opportunity to participate in this initiative. In each of the rooms assigned to the groups, there was a pre-defined theme [inclusion of minorities; transition to green energy, case air quality; transition to the Zero Waste model (zero waste); and the inclusion of the elderly people in community life] and a range of cards for each participant.

The cards contained “tools” related to local development and participation. Selected and combined, they led to the implementation of a project with a specific objective for each of the themes. At the end of the session, after a debate among the group participants, the projects were created, presented and discussed in the main room.
